In Memory Of Mallissa

As some of you know, my sister Mallissa passed away December 9th of 2009. This year, 2014 will be her 5th anniversary since her death. In honor of her memory I wanted to start a page to donate to great organizations each year. 

Mallissa was an animal lover, doing what she could to help all kinds of earth's creatures, but her love for dogs was her passion. She gave to causes when she could, for her birthdays she was selfless and asked people to donate to help rescue dogs instead of getting gifts. 

She even rescued a dog she found on the streets, and took her in. She named her Nikita Marie and they became best friends. When she passed, you could see the love Nikita had for her. She became depressed waiting by her bedroom door for Mallissa to come home, it was the most heartbreaking thing I've ever witnessed. That shows that dogs are caring and loving pets, who become family. And will love you more than they love themselves. 

Unfortunately, Nikita got injured in a car accident that summer, but let's think of her running to Mallissa with a grinning face and Mallissa with her arms wide open.
