Springtime Outside

Hi!

These are a few random pictures from yesterday while I was outside. I just like them! These are the artsy fartsy picture of the poppy type flower in the backyard.

And here are two pictures of my sweetie and baby Ed relaxing outside. They are just so cute! I adore them. Abby loves her ball!

Hope you enjoyed your day as well,

Ribbit! Ribbit!

Hello my little tadpoles,

Today I repainted an old umbrella holder, the kind that goes under the table. It was probably about 8 years old. So it was super faded and dirty/rusty and cracked in some spots. But I'm cheap and all it needed was a little love and attention. So I got out the paint!!!

It was warm and sunny so I did it outside while the pup and cat played in the yard. Painting the frog I used super bright colors so it would go better with my patio decor. I didn't have red so I did pink mushrooms with purple stems. As you can see the very bottom isn't painted, I honestly didn't care because it was super dirty/rusty and I didn't want to ruin my brushes. I suggest using outdoor paint which you can find at your local craft store. The have paint for stuff like bird feeders that you can use.

You can basically do this for any outdoor decor you have, such a garden gnomes! Just last year I painted my metal sunflower cause it was really faded and I made it more 3D. You can even repaint something you find at a tag sale. It super easy. I learned this from my mom, she usually just repaints stuff. She bought at an end of summer sale some outside door signs and painted them fall colors instead! I get all my craftiness from her.

Just start by cleaning it your piece. Get all your paint colors picked out and ready. Have your paint brushes and a cup of water for them. Paper towels for any mess and a paper plate to pour paint on (I use an old tupperware that I just use every time.) I wish I had used spray paint to cover the whole thing with as a base coat but oh well! So maybe do that! I just did one section at a time and did the smaller details last. It not perfect but, hey! It's shoved under a table, haha!

I like it!

The Bridal Shower

Hi!

Sunday was absolutely perfect. The sun shinning and everyone ready to go. Everything was prepped in the boxes and bags for transfer. We already organized each tables stuff in labeled boxes so everyone got one and just set it up! Super simple. Everyone had there job so things would go smoothly. We had a few hiccups but all in all it was a wonderful day! I'm just going to share pictures and let them speak for themselves!

Full view of table set up!

Two of the centerpieces, they were so pretty!

The little details of the table, we had snacks and favors all ready!

My gift for Dina, it was CATtastic, hehe!

The picture above is mostly the bridesmaids then in one corner is the aunts and the older women are my grandma and her best friend Betty. We of course did our mirror selfie!

Dina arrived! Photo of her with my Mom. Marisa and Emily were in charge of the seating, look at those clipboards! And the bottom corner is the mother of the groom and mother of the bride.

I'm not going to explain each picture! But the top is the bridal party, some are of the games and speeches, opening gifts, and family pictures!

This day was better than we could have imagined and now it's over! Months of planning and now nothing! It went by so quickly. Wedding is in about 75 days! Let's do this!

Bridal Shower Prep: Part Two

The bridal games!

We did two different games. The first was how well do you know the bride! We had 25 questions all about Dina, it was actually kind of hard! For the winner, the prize was a a cute travel bag we got at Target, it was filled with all of Dina's favorite things. Including socks, a cat mug, Target gift card, margarita glass, and lip gloss, etc.

 Prizes all above!

Our second game was name that movie! I picked out 12 quotes, some were Dina's favorite movies, one was my mother's and one was my grandmother's and then I had a few classics. This game was super hard.... my bad! Can you guess any?!

For the answers of the game I not only said the movie but a fun fact about the movie. It was fun doing the research. As an extra fun thing to pass around the tables I edited photo of my sister and Odie on movie stills! It was hilarious!
Top: The Notebook, Never Been Kissed Bottom: Say Anything, Seven Year Itch
Top: Sleepless In Seattle, Titanic, Ghost Bottom: White Christmas, Shrek, Pretty In Pink

White Christmas, our favorite sister song!

Hope you like what I did, it took forever to find the right pictures of Dina and Od, plus to find non blurry stills from the movies that were also the right size. It sure was fun and Dina loved the pictures! Oh, and here is one I made to introduce the bridesmaids! Though two were too young for The Spice Girls, one doesn't even know who they are! Wow, am I'm old now?....Who remembers Spice World?! Only the best movie ever, haha!

Okay my next post is the actually shower!

Bridal Shower Prep: Part One

Hi!

Now that the shower is finally over I can show you all the planning and tell you the theme! it was....

"From Miss to Mrs. Let's shower the bride with love and good wishes!"

We did a rain shower theme, I mean it is April after all! I thought of it so randomly while we were looking at the place we were going to host the shower. And within an a few hours we planned all the ideas out! My mom and I are pretty talented if I do say so myself!

Our centerpieces were these ceramic rain boots, we hand painted them all. And by we... I mean my mom cause she was much better at it! She bought paint and some glaze to make it shiny. We tried to buy boots that were already done, but we couldn't find them anywhere! If we did it was like $50, which is silly if you ask me. So we bought these from Oriental Trading Company, they sell a variety of things in bulk for parties and events. It came in a set of 12. They were the perfect size too since we wanted people to be able to see everyone at the table.  In the picture below you can see the paper umbrella's we made for the table numbers. My mom didn't know what a miracle scrapbook paper is till now! She was like look at the pretty paper, isn't it perfect?! I just love her, she's adorable.

All we had to do was the flowers which we did the day before the shower! We literally bought out Stop and Shops floral section. We had two carts filled. After most the boots were flowered up, mom went to fix one of them and she noticed little bubbles... I hear her go Oh. My. God. Then she yells to me, check all the boots!!! These bubbles are on all of them. The water inside was soaking through the boots and making the paint bubble! It was less then 24 hours till the shower and our centerpieces were getting ruined. Mom springs into action and we start dumbing the water out like crazy people. We're trying to dry it with paper towels as best as we could. THANKFULLY we noticed this now instead of in the morning. If it had been that long the paint would have peeled off! All of our hard work seemed to be ruined, then my mom goes... it looks like rain drops! That's what we'll tell them. She is quite the genius! We kept the flowers wet till the morning then put the flowers in dry in the boots. And propped the table numbers on top. They came out great! (You'll see in my other post of the actually shower!)

My mom picked out the most perfect favors! Ones that guest would actually use. Umbrellas! She got them in a massive bulk. We had to get 70 so every single person would get them. We customized them by adding different colored ribbons around it, we glued a thank you tag on it with these cute flowers my mom picked out. This was all my mother's idea! That picture of me above in the corner was showing the last umbrella! It took us a few days to do! But they came out fantastic! And it was actually a sunny day for the shower but the next day was downpours! So it really came in handy!

Okay so this was part one, read part two for more!

Way Back Wednesday

Thank you timehop for making me feel old today! Senior prom was awesome, but can we draw are attention to the SIX YEARS AGO. I have been out of school for 6 years. It's crazy how time flies and how many people you've lost touch with, but amazing to see how far you've come and who you have grown into. I would never have thought this is where I'd be, the good and bad but all the same, crazy to me!

Wow.

It's that time of year again, so happy about this! Spring is so wonderful. I am switching out all my winter clothes for summer clothes. I can't wait to stop wearing jeans and start wearing shorts. And can't wait to stop wearing my boots, I have many many many summer shoes/sandals. It's the little things that make me happy!

Well, time to wash all those clothes that had been sitting in a bin all winter!

Bridal Shower Planning Is Hard

But like for real..............

Honestly didn't realize how crazy it is! But it is so fun! My mom and I have been working so hard to make this a special moment for Dina. And I can't wait to post about it in detail after the 19th when it takes place! I hope you guys love it as much as I do. We put so much thought into the theme and I can't wait to see Dina's face when she sees it! I can't wait to get there and capture with my photography all of the fine details and memories we will be making! It's at The Gallery so it's a really lovely place to have private parties and they even had weddings/receptions! Being the Maid Of Honor is truly just that, an honor.

I still need to print out the games. They will be so fun! We just bought the prizes today and I will be making them up all nice tomorrow. I personally think there such unique gifts compared to others I've seen, so the winners are super lucky to have awesome gifters, bahaha! Just kidding, but I think they will be a hit. And I already got my sister her gift as well. It is the perfect gift for her, for realz! I just have to make her personalized wedding mugs, she picked out what she wanted and I'm talented enough to make it, not too toot my own horn! But toot, toot!

We will be working on the seating chart Friday with my mom and Dina. So annoying 10 people aren't coming so we lost a table and now have to refigure out the seating plan because we had 8 at a table now we have to go to 10, it honestly was perfect before the change! Oh well, what can you do! Okay that's all for now, enjoy the rest of your week!

Happy Easter!

Hi chickadees!

Easter was nice. Spent it with Sean's family this year. Went to his Uncle Bill's for a bit, love chit chatting with his Aunt's and Grandpa! Also got to see some old photo of his grandparents. So sweet! Then we headed to his Nonni's house for dessert, though we missed the Easter egg hut, ages 2-37! Haha! Though I did get some candy from some of there eggs, hehe. It was a simple Easter this year but fun as always.

Stopped at Flight for a quick minute while Sean check on the office.

Sean's Aunt and cousin.

This girl had fun and a sleepy point!

Bonding with Baby Austin and his Coraline eyes!

Hope you're was just as lovely!

A little Hike with Abby & Alex

Hi!

First hike of the year! Abby had a blast! And so did Alex, haha! She brought her boomerang, let's just say it didn't come flying back.... once.

Getting a little fresh air out of the sunroof! Alex's first experience with Abby as a shotgun rider.

Wild dog.

There's that boomerang in the corner and Abby trying to steal it from her!

Hope you're enjoying this early spring!
