Big E

It's that time of year again! Fair season! And my number one fair I go to every year is the Big E. Which many of New Englanders have heard of! It is the best and biggest fair, with tons of food which is the highlight for everyone.

I Every year I get apple crisp from one of the state building, usually Vermont. Sean get a baked potato not from the Maine building, which everyone goes to and has the biggest line but the hidden one right between two of the building, it's massive and way better! Shh, don't tell the secret! Hehe. This year we attended the event with our good friends, Nick and Aprylle. We waited in traffic for over 2 hours! It was ridiculous. As it is every year. But always worth the wait. It was so slow that Appy got out of the car went into a convenience store then caught back up to us only like 6 spots up from where we were. Too funny. We found a good spot to park, aka people's home who charge like $5 instead of whatever the charge at the actually fairgrounds. It not even that long of a walk. I laugh when people complain "ohh it's too far, we need to park there!" Like umm, don't you realize this fair is crazy big and you walk around it for hours! Like that adds up to miles, so I think you can walk for 10 minutes to get there. Oh well, more room for us to park!
They have bands and music all over to enjoy, a car show each year with vintage cars and trucks. Sean always gets bear from the houses, usually all from the state's local breweries. We go into all the expo building to see the animals and all the stuff people sell. We got to see a mama pig and her little piglets, it was so friggin' cute! I like, couldn't handle it! Though I was getting kind of pissed off at these two little girls who kept petting the mom when she was near the fence. Um no. It says do not pet right there! Way to go mom, control your kids! This mama pig is exhausted, keep their grimy hands off the pig! ANyway, one little pig that is on top of the other ones, can you see it? Yeah that is the pig version of our Abby. There is a photo Sean got of Abby as a baby with her mom, she was the little round pup on top of the puppy pile trying to feed from her mom. Haha! Last year we saw a calf licking this spot on the wall, we instantly were like that's the cow Abba,
We go into the horse arena where they do the horse shows and judging, we missed the fun riding competition but we sat in there and got to see the horses being judge, it's like the thanksgiving dog show you see on tv every year. My favorite horse was this one that looked like it had gotten baby powder all of it. It was gorgeous!

Next we went to my favorite thing to do at the Big E. The ferris wheel! Every year Sean and I have gone we've taken the same two photos on it. It's our little tradition, I know... so adorable. Haha!

Above is our first year together there, the second was 2 years ago, and unfortunately the 3rd one we didn't go at the same time because I was sick when he went and I went when I was better with my sister. So sad! But this year photo came out wonderful, definitely a framer!

We had a wonderful time and even stayed till it was dark so we got to see everything lit up before we left.

Hope you get a chance to attend this year and if you're not from New England you should come just for this!
Love always, Christina
